Atlas expands AirAsia API integration to boost ASEAN low-cost flight distribution

Singapore – Atlas, a travel technology provider focused on direct low-cost carrier (LCC) distribution through APIs, has expanded its flight API connection with AirAsia, providing more consistent and scalable access to one of Asia’s largest budget airline networks.

Southeast Asia continues to rank among the fastest-growing aviation markets globally, supported by frequent short-haul travel and strong intra-regional links. Through the upgraded integration, Atlas offers dependable connectivity to AirAsia’s low-cost seat inventory across the region and additional markets, addressing the operational instability that has historically constrained large-scale distribution of budget airline content.

The Atlas flight API provides travel sellers with access to full economy fare content across all AirAsia carriers, including real-time seat availability and return journey functionality. The integration also enables access to the airline’s ancillary products during the booking process, such as seat assignments and checked baggage options with varying weight allowances, allowing sellers to mirror the airline’s retail model and increase transaction value.

Direct API connectivity is designed to enhance confirmation times, streamline payment handling, and improve post-booking processes. Atlas Pay supports transactions in 24 currencies, facilitating cross-border sales and reducing administrative complexity.

The strengthened AirAsia connection forms part of its broader strategy to simplify low-cost carrier retailing through direct integrations, enabling faster market entry, greater operational reliability and expansion opportunities for travel sellers worldwide.
