FPT, WSOL to accelerate digital technology development in Thailand

Bangkok, Thailand – FPT, a global provider of technology and IT services operating through its subsidiary in Thailand and WSOL Public Company Limited have formalised a strategic memorandum of agreement (MOA) aimed at broadening their presence and advancing digital capabilities across the Thai market.

The agreement combines FPT’s expertise in delivering integrated technology services across various sectors, including banking, financial services, energy, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing, and both public and private institutions, with WSOL’s established domestic network.

Under the partnership, the two organisations intend to co-develop technology initiatives, initially focusing on financial and data-centric solutions before extending into other industries. The collaboration is positioned to contribute to the longer-term evolution of Thailand’s digital ecosystem and supporting infrastructure.

“Partnering with WSOL allows FPT to combine our global technology expertise with WSOL’s strong market understanding and presence in Thailand,” Levi Nguyen, chief executive officer of FPT Thailand and FPT Taiwan at FPT Corporation, stated.

He added, “We believe this collaboration will help create solutions that truly address the needs of the Thai market—across both the public and private sectors—and will play an important role in supporting Thailand’s transition toward a digital economy.”

FPT contributes expertise spanning infrastructure services, core systems, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise platforms, supported by internationally recognised delivery standards.

Meanwhile, WSOL maintains a nationwide footprint that includes payment and financial service networks, merchant and retail infrastructure, and partnerships across multiple industries. This reach positions the company as a commercial entry point for introducing regional and international technology offerings into Thailand at scale.

“We believe that the collaboration with FPT marks an important milestone in elevating Thailand’s technological capabilities,” Ithichai Poolvaraluck, group chief executive officer of WSOL, commented.

He added, “We are confident that we will jointly develop practical and effective solutions for Thai enterprises while creating new opportunities in the digital technology landscape.”

In addition to solution development, the agreement is expected to support the strengthening of WSOL’s broader platform strategy, including the enhancement of its business-to-business technology capabilities and its competitiveness in large-scale enterprise, with FPT participating alongside other strategic partners.
