Singapore – Digital Realty has expanded its cloud connectivity options in Singapore by enabling access to an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) FastConnect point of presence (PoP), located in the Oracle Cloud’s Singapore West region.
The new connection point is expected to improve network performance for enterprises across Southeast Asia by reducing latency and offering an additional route into OCI.
It aims to enhance support for hybrid, AI-driven, and cloud-adjacent operations, while giving customers access to consistent security, performance, and pricing models associated with Oracle Cloud.
“The launch of OCI FastConnect in Singapore marks an important step in our continued partnership with Oracle, and ongoing commitment to helping customers deploy cloud and AI workloads with speed and confidence,” Serene Nah, managing director and head of Asia Pacific at Digital Realty, stated.
“Together with Oracle, we’re enabling enterprises to seamlessly connect to the cloud, scale AI innovation, and future-proof their digital infrastructure in Asia Pacific and globally.”
Additionally, the company is also establishing an Oracle Solution Centre in the city-state through its global PlatformDIGITAL data centre network.
The centre is intended to offer a controlled setting where organisations can develop, trial, and assess hybrid and AI-focused architectures. This further positions Singapore as a key location for regional digital development and AI adoption.
Digital Realty and Oracle continue to work together to streamline cloud access for global enterprises. Their collaboration is intended to assist organisations in scaling digital operations and accelerating AI integration across APAC.
“Customers require high throughput, private, and secure connectivity between their on-premises environment and cloud to support business-critical and evolving AI application needs,” Chris Chelliah, senior vice president, technology and customer strategy at Oracle Japan & Asia Pacific, explained.
“With OCI FastConnect service and Digital Realty’s global footprint, customers can provision these dedicated high-throughput private connections easily and scale to meet their growing business demands.”
The OCI FastConnect network includes more than 110 international and regional partners, enabling dedicated links to various Oracle Cloud Regions and services.
Digital Realty also took part earlier this year in the launch of the Oracle AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore, which was set up to help organisations build skills, test solutions in secure environments, and gain the capabilities required to modernise essential business processes.
