SoftwareOne taps AWS to drive genAI innovation across APAC

Singapore – SoftwareOne, a global provider of cloud and software services, has entered into a multi-year strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at advancing digital transformation, cloud migration, and generative AI (gen AI) innovation across the APAC region.

Through this partnership, SoftwareOne will strengthen its AWS capabilities to better support customers in Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Greater China Region, and India.

The collaboration will prioritise four key areas: cloud migration and modernisation, data and gen AI initiatives, the development of new solutions on AWS, and participation in the AWS Marketplace. SoftwareOne will also continue expanding its pool of AWS-certified professionals to enhance customer support across the region.

Varun Paliwal, president of APAC and the Middle East of SoftwareOne, mentioned that this agreement is a pivotal step in empowering organisations across APAC and accelerating the digital transformation of gen AI.

“By combining SoftwareOne’s expertise with the comprehensive cloud services of AWS, we’re delivering tangible business outcomes and long-term value for our customers,” Varun stated.

As part of the agreement, SoftwareOne plans to design and implement a range of gen AI-driven solutions powered by Amazon Bedrock. These offerings will target sectors such as retail, manufacturing, and financial services, with pre-built, AWS-validated templates and deployment packages to help businesses transition from testing to full-scale implementation.

AWS will provide technical support through its Generative AI Innovation Centre Partner Alliance, which offers expert training and resources to accelerate solution delivery.

Among the AI-based tools being introduced are virtual assistants tailored for specific industries and operations, including factory maintenance and troubleshooting, insurance plan recommendations, HR automation, and intelligent product management.

Corrie Briscoe, director of partner core for Asia Pacific & Japan at AWS, shared that the collaboration demonstrates the company’s joint focus on helping customers across APAC accelerate cloud transformation and responsible gen AI adoption.

“By combining SoftwareOne’s deep regional expertise and trusted customer relationships with AWS’s breadth of services, we are creating practical pathways for organisations to modernise their operations and scale solutions that drive measurable impact,” Corrie stated.

In addition, SoftwareOne will assist organisations in moving their operations to AWS through its Rapid Migration Offer and deploy AWS Landing Zones with integrated security and governance features. The company will also make its solutions available through AWS Marketplace to simplify procurement and plans to expand its AWS-focused sales and marketing teams throughout the region.

The collaboration aims to advance SoftwareOne’s objective of driving innovation, operational efficiency, and business value for organisations adopting cloud and AI technologies across diverse industries in APAC.
