Malaysia — Paydibs, a Malaysia-based digital payments provider, has formed a partnership with Alipay+, the global wallet gateway under Ant International, to enhance cross-border payment capabilities for local merchants.
Through this collaboration, Paydibs merchants will be able to accept payments from more than 15 e-wallets and banking applications within the Alipay+ partner ecosystem, including Alipay, GCash and Kakao Pay.
This expanded access is expected to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) reach international consumers more effectively, supporting cross-border e-commerce growth across Southeast Asia and beyond.
“Partnering with Alipay+ marks an important step for Paydibs and our merchants,” Tee Kean Kang, chief commercial officer at Paydibs said.
“Together, we are making cross-border transactions simpler, faster, and more inclusive, helping merchants of every size grow beyond borders.”
The integration supports transactions in local currencies and streamlines payment processes for merchants, reducing checkout friction and improving conversion rates. For SMEs, these enhancements are designed to strengthen competitiveness in the digital economy by enabling more efficient cross-border trade.
The initiative also provides more inclusive opportunities for Malaysia’s diverse communities and underserved markets to connect with international customers.
By linking local businesses to a wider global digital ecosystem, the partnership contributes to positioning Malaysia as a regional hub for cross-border e-commerce.
The collaboration underscores Paydibs’ strategy to advance as a future-ready payment gateway in Southeast Asia.
With secure, merchant-focused digital solutions, the company continues to support businesses of all sizes in building resilience, improving efficiency and sustaining long-term growth in the digital economy.
