Japan – Rakuten Group, a Japanese technology conglomerate, has recently announced the rebranding of its online grocery delivery service arm, Rakuten Seiyu Netsuper. This move will lead to renaming it “Rakuten Mart,” which will be officially implemented starting September 25.

According to the firm, the existing Rakuten Seiyu Netsuper website and app will still be active, with operations supported by several regional warehouses, including in Kohoku, Matsudo, and Ibaraki.

The service will further continue to provide various products, such as fresh foods, dairy, frozen and refrigerated items, and daily necessities.

Same-day deliveries, on the other hand, will also be made from respective fulfilment centres with features such as advanced automation and temperature control, managing approximately 70,000 orders daily.

The said setup is designed to improve inventory management and product display, combining diverse offerings across specialty stores with the efficiency of large-scale operations.

Beyond this effort, the newly rebranded firm will also work alongside Rakuten Ichiba and Rakuten Hometown Tax Payment to expand its product selection.
