Singapore – Google Cloud has recently introduced its latest data cloud innovations aimed at accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence. These innovations intend to enable the development of enterprise AI apps that are accurate, relevant, and rooted in enterprise truth.
First on the list is the Spanner Graph, an offering that unites purpose-built graph database capabilities with Google Cloud’s globally consistent and virtually unlimited-scale database Spanner.
This innovation provides customers with the ability to scale beyond trillions of edges while offering availability and consistency for even the most mission-critical graph applications.
It is also integrated with Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, enabling customers to directly access its extensive suite of predictive and generative models through the Spanner Graph schema and query, streamlining the AI workflow.
Furthermore, Spanner Graph offers opportunities for customers in terms of product recommendations, financial fraud detection, social networks, gaming, network security, and GraphRAG.
Apart from these features, the firm has also added full-text search and vector search features, which build on Google’s decades of expertise in search and deliver highly scalable, advanced full-text search.
Second, Google Cloud also launched Gemini data agents to help customers expedite their multimodal, multi-engine, and multicloud data-to-AI journey. For this particular innovation, Google Cloud will infuse Gen AI capabilities into its data cloud offering and mature its Gen AI capabilities for general availability.
Next on the list is Gemini in BigQuery, offering AI-powered experiences including data preparation, exploration and analysis, governance, and security throughout the data journey, as well as intelligent recommendations to enhance user productivity and optimise costs.
According to the firm, they are in the process of maturing the capabilities announced in Preview at Next’ 24, with Gemini in BigQuery features now moving to general availability, including code assistance for SQL and Python, data canvas, as well as partitioning and clustering recommendations.
Lastly, with Gemini in Looker capabilities such as formula assist and slide generation now available in preview, information workers can chat with their data. This innovation will allow customers to create calculated fields on-the-fly without having to remember complicated formulas.
