Manila, Philippines – Converge ICT, a PH-based fixed broadband service provider, has recently announced that it has teamed up with Supermicro Computer Inc., bringing together data centres that are AI-powered and eco-friendly. This strategic partnership underscores the duo’s commitment to sustainability.
In this collaboration, Supermicro will also supply Converge with its Total IT Rack-scale liquid-cooled solutions designed to integrate with powerful NVIDIA GPUs. These systems will be suited for intensive workloads associated with artificial intelligence.
The alliance has identified potential applications for these new data centres, which include a national large language model, smart manufacturing for Industry 4.0, advanced deep learning and machine learning, and video generation.
Previously, the company made an announcement regarding its plans to construct three data centres in Pampanga, Laguna, and Caloocan this year.
This move is built on their partnership with Supermicro, which enables all three facilities to be established under Supermicro’s future-proof design, featuring AI-optimised servers capable of supporting cutting-edge generative AI applications.
Dennis Anthony Uy, chief executive officer and co-founder at Converge, said, “We’re thrilled to partner with Supermicro on building these groundbreaking data centres. Supermicro’s servers provide exceptional AI computing capabilities and intensive deep learning tasks that will allow us to support and deploy many AI applications.”
In the future, Converge also plans to integrate Supermicro’s innovative liquid cooling solutions, which not only reduce power consumption but also minimise the environmental impact.
