Singapore – Rimini Street, an IT services and consulting firm, has recently announced that Ricoh Company, Ltd., an image processing and digital transformation solutions firm, has selected Rimini Support and Rimini Protect to safeguard and optimise its existing Oracle EBS and Oracle Database environments.
This strategic move ensures operational excellence and security as it explores their next-generation ERP strategy.
In this collaboration, Ricoh has chosen a powerful combination of Rimini Support to offer comprehensive software maintenance services, as well as Rimini Street’s advanced application and middleware security for its Oracle EBS system and advanced database security for its Oracle databases.
The said approach provided Ricoh with real-time, zero-day vulnerability protection without extensive downtime, backed by global engineers with a deep bench of expertise to keep their Oracle systems running at full speed.
Furthermore, with Rimini’s proactive, personalised software security services and solutions, clients can benefit from protection against identified and unidentified threats and vulnerabilities. It will also facilitate fast deployment of Rimini Protect updates without requiring code changes to the software being protected, minimising implementation costs.
Additionally, a 10-minute guaranteed response time for Priority 1 critical cases can be offered. Lastly, clients receive Security Vulnerability Analysis Reports (SVARs), intelligence reports from Rimini Street that dissect reported security vulnerabilities along with mitigation options and strategies.
Keisuke Hamanaka, deputy general manager of process, IT, and data management at Ricoh, said, “Since we had already decided to move off of Oracle, our priority was maintaining and securing our current systems, not upgrading them.”
“We made a comparative evaluation with other companies offering similar services and concluded that Rimini Street is the only partner that can support the Japanese market with the high-quality support and protection we need, at a price that aligns with our financial goals,” continued Keisuke.
He also notes, “Rimini Street offers an attractive service that has saved us hundreds of millions of yen in upgrade costs and staffs highly skilled support engineers who can cover major ERP and database systems and protect them too. We were able to divert resources from engaging in a major EBS upgrade and save several billion yen at the same time,” Hamanaka said.
“In addition to the tangible benefits of partnering with Rimini Street, these services give Ricoh peace of mind knowing we have dependable security around the critical data in our Oracle databases that back up EBS,” Keisuke stated.
Gabe Dimeligio, group vice president and general manager of Rimini Protect at Rimini Street, also shared, “As a trusted partner to thousands of organisations across the globe, we are proud to deliver a unique combination of end-to-end IT solutions for mission-critical systems that help achieve both short- and long-term business and financial goals for our clients.”
“We empower our clients to focus their resources on projects that strengthen their competitive stance in the market, backed by the security, support, and quality Rimini Street is known for,” concluded Gabe.
