Singapore – Communications technology firm Singtel has announced recently that it has partnered with cloud communications firm Vonage, aiming to drive rapid application development across multiple markets with network, edge, and communications application programming interfaces.

This partnership builds on helping enterprises and telecommunications companies innovate and scale their services and solutions through Singtel’s Paragon, an industry-leading one-stop orchestration platform.

Integrating Paragon’s advanced telco and edge APIs with Vonage’s API platform will provide enterprises, telcos, and developers access to a global ecosystem of rich communications, network, and edge APIs. The said integration will also enable the seamless delivery of optimised, secure, and engaging customer experiences while accelerating digital transformation.

The partner company’s API, on the other hand, will be accessible in the Paragon platform marketplace, an app store for multi-network, multi-cloud enterprise solutions of Singtel. This will enable enterprises to explore new possibilities for innovation and rapidly expand their range of digital services.

Bill Chang, chief executive officer, Digital InfraCo at Singtel, said, “Through this strategic partnership with Vonage, enterprises and developers can tap into APIs and collaborate with Paragon-enabled telcos to jointly develop and seamlessly deploy applications into more countries without needing to repeatedly adapt or change their applications for different markets.”

“This streamlined approach enables telcos and enterprises to focus on growth and innovation according to their business needs and offers vast opportunities for their ISVs and partners to expand service delivery into more countries with greater ease, speed, and scale,” he further added.

Niklas Heuveldop, chief executive officer at Vonage and head of business area global communications platform at Ericsson, also said, “We are pleased to announce our partnership with Singtel as we continue to collaborate with frontrunner service providers globally to drive an open ecosystem for exponential innovation and network monetisation.”

“By combining Vonage’s API platform, Ericsson’s 5G network capabilities, and Singtel’s Paragon platform, we are paving the way for developers to pioneer new solutions for enterprises to reimagine their business, improve customer experiences, and create new communications and engagement capabilities,” concluded Niklas.

Additionally, the company also intends to offer network and edge APIs that adhere to industry standards, such as CAMARA and TMForum, to a wide community of developers through the Paragon and Vonage API platforms. The said initiative aims to drive swift enterprise application development across various markets.
