Singapore – SECTA5, a Singapore-based deep tech startup firm, has recently announced the introduction of its latest flagship product powered by artificial intelligence: the Cartographer.

This platform intends to assist companies in accelerating their cybersecurity threat analysis and response on a single platform. In particular, it can accomplish cyber risk management methods or cyber triage tasks twice as fast and with greater precision through its advanced capabilities.

As a tech solution, the said initiative also works in contrast to the traditional manual cyber risk management methods, where teams must manually sift through tens of thousands of disclosed vulnerabilities and individually assess and rank them in importance for their companies to address.

This in turn helps businesses save time and money while lowering the risk to business operations and information systems.

Features of the platform also include a curation of vulnerability pipelines where businesses can choose data that is relevant for the organisation. This encompasses ingesting outputs from industry-leading vulnerability scanners, penetration test reports, agent-based sensors, and more.

Second, there is an auto-triage feature with context, enabling businesses to rationalise vulnerability data based on what is critical for specific businesses, including environment and regulatory obligations.

Third, it also integrates industry-leading threat intelligence feeds when assessing each vulnerability to verify if there is an actual impact on an organisation.

Lastly, the solution automates time-consuming triage across multiple platforms, allowing security professionals to prioritise higher-value strategic work.

Commenting on this initiative, Sky Seah, co-founder at SECTA5, said, “Cartographer enables organisations to swiftly identify the most critical cyber risks and prioritise their remediation efforts accordingly. In the analogy of a ship, it is no longer just about patching whatever leaks that spring up in the hull, but to systemically prioritise the patching of major leaks and reinforcement of areas where it will have the largest risk of leaks before the leak happens.”

“It is like proactively reinforcing the defences of a castle. By centralising vulnerability management processes around Cartographer, businesses can enhance their cybersecurity defences autonomously, strengthen their overall infrastructure, and prepare countermeasures before an enemy breach,” added Seah.
