Singapore – foodpanda has launched its plug-in on ChatGPT and Claude in Singapore, letting users discover restaurants and meal options through conversational prompts rather than traditional search and filtering.
The integration makes foodpanda the first food-delivery platform in Singapore to launch across both AI platforms. It is currently available in Singapore, with the company planning to expand the integration to additional markets.
“Singaporeans are spoilt for choice when it comes to food and deciding what to eat. AI presents a new way to tackle that problem. By bringing foodpanda into ChatGPT and Claude, consumers can simply type what they’re craving, their budget or who they’re eating with, and quickly narrow down the options to find a meal that works for them,” said Bhavani Mishra, Managing Director at foodpanda.
From AI prompts to meal recommendations
Users can describe what they want in natural language, including a preferred cuisine, budget, dietary requirement or occasion, and receive restaurant and meal recommendations from foodpanda.
Prompts can include requests such as finding Korean restaurants that deliver to a specific location, suggesting meals for a group within a set budget, or identifying vegetarian dinner options.
The integration retrieves information directly from foodpanda when a query is made, providing restaurant and meal recommendations based on the available information at that time. Users can then access the foodpanda app or web store to place and pay for their order.
The company said the integration gives consumers another way to explore its restaurant network, letting them express preferences conversationally rather than relying solely on menus, filters, and conventional search.
On ChatGPT, users can enable the foodpanda plug-in and start prompts with foodpanda to search for dishes based on cravings, dietary requirements or plans.
On Claude, users can include “foodpanda” in their prompt, which activates the plug-in to provide relevant suggestions.
Users can refine results by including information such as their residential area, dietary needs, budget and other preferences. For example, a prompt could request halal Korean food near Bedok for four people with a budget of S$60.
Once users have selected an option, they can tap through to the foodpanda app or web store to complete their order.
