Earlier in her career, she held the roles of Chief Transformation Officer and CIO at Cerence, a developer of AI-powered virtual assistants for the automotive industry, and Vice President of Information Technology at Nuance Communications, known for its work in conversational AI and speech recognition.
Her prior honours include the 2021 BostonCIO of the Year ORBIE Award, which recognises excellence in technology leadership. Collins holds a bachelor’s degree from Providence College and an MBA in High Technology Management from Northeastern University.
Commenting on the appointment, Collins expressed the following in her new role, “Progress has established itself as a leader in delivering the context and control organisations need to succeed with AI. I look forward to partnering across the business to further expand upon Progress’ AI vision in support of our customers and employees, and to become part of the company’s next phase of growth.”
