GRYPHLINE partners with Adyen to support global launch of ‘Arknights: Endfield’

Hong Kong – GRYPHLINE has partnered with global financial technology platform Adyen to support the international launch of its 3D role-playing game “Arknights: Endfield” across multiple platforms.

The partnership comes as GRYPHLINE, the global publishing arm of Hypergryph and studio behind the “Arknights” franchise, expands its publishing operations following the success of the original mobile game.

“Arknights: Endfield” marks GRYPHLINE’s first independent simultaneous global rollout across major platforms, including PlayStation 5, PC, iOS and Android. The company said the title has recorded strong performance and positive player feedback since its release.

To support the launch, GRYPHLINE has integrated Adyen’s unified payments platform for international transactions in markets including Japan, the U.S., Canada, Germany, France, the UK and South Korea.

According to Adyen, GRYPHLINE selected the platform based on its gaming industry experience and work with global game publishers, with the aim of maintaining high payment authorisation rates during periods of elevated transaction volumes, such as game launches and major game updates.

GRYPHLINE is also using components of Adyen’s Uplift suite, including Network Tokens and Real-Time Account Updater to keep player payment information current and reduce failed transactions and involuntary churn.

The company is also using Adyen Protect Premium, which applies AI and Dynamic Identification to help distinguish legitimate players from potentially fraudulent activity and bot networks.

“GRYPHLINE is an entrepreneurial, forward-thinking studio that mirrors the fast-paced culture of the modern gaming industry,” said Roelant Prins, Chief Commercial Officer at Adyen. “By expanding their global publishing footprint, they needed a financial backbone that could scale as fast as their community. We are proud to provide the technology to power their global ambition.”

Adyen said preparations for the launch began six months before release, with the two companies working on customised risk rules and live-testing scenarios designed to support platform stability and payment authorisation rates.

Following the launch, Adyen said it has continued to provide support and optimise authorisation rates as GRYPHLINE expands its global operations.
