San Mateo, California – Verkada, a cloud-based physical security firm, has recently announced the addition of Jonathon Dixon to the company’s go-to-market teams and operations in Japan and Asia-Pacific (JAPAC).
In this role, Dixon will serve as the vice president and managing director of JAPAC, overseeing the company’s teams in Australia, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Singapore, operating from the JAPAC headquarters based in Singapore.
Before joining Verkada, he also became the vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China at Cloudlfare. He has further served leadership positions in companies including Amazon Web Services and Enterprise Business Segment.
Moreover, Dixon brings experience from several leadership roles at Cisco and IBM and more than two decades in scaling multi-national organisations across the JAPAC region.
Eric Salava, chief revenue officer at Verkada, said, “In just one year, our customer base has grown by 72%, and this is only the beginning of our expansion in the JAPAC market.
He further added, “Jonathon’s decades of leadership experience in the region will unlock even more opportunities for our team, and more importantly, make more communities in JAPAC safe and secure with privacy-respecting solutions.”
Meanwhile, Dixon further remarked, “I can’t think of a more important purpose than Verkada’s. We are transforming the ways organisations keep the communities they live and work in safe.”
“I’m excited to grow and evolve Verkada’s footprint in JAPAC and ultimately enable more organisations in the region to leverage cutting-edge technology to protect their people and places in a privacy-sensitive way,” Dixon further explained.
