Indonesia launches national cyber resilience programme to enhance cybersecurity readiness

Jakarta, Indonesia – ITSEC Asia and the Indonesian Digitalisation and Cybersecurity Association (ADIGSI) have introduced a nationwide initiative aimed at improving cybersecurity preparedness across Indonesia.

Known as Gerakan Nasional Ketahanan Siber, or the National Cyber Resilience Programme, the initiative focuses on strengthening organisational resilience by developing technical capabilities alongside leadership-level governance of cyberrisk.

The programme seeks to raise cybersecurity readiness across public and private organisations while promoting closer collaboration between industry, government and the wider digital community. It is positioned as a supporting pillar of Indonesia’s broader digital transformation efforts, addressing increasingly complex and evolving cyber threats.

“Cyber resilience today is no longer just a technology challenge; it is a leadership and governance issue,” Patrick Dannacher, president director of ITSEC, stated.

“Through this program, we are building a structured national pathway that connects day-to-day operational readiness with executive-level decision making, so cybersecurity becomes an integral part of organisational leadership.”

Set to run for six months in 2026, the initiative will deliver practical training and simulation-based activities designed to improve institutional preparedness. More than 1,000 participants are expected to take part nationwide, including cyber practitioners, senior leaders, government agencies, state-owned enterprises and private sector organisations.

At the operational level, activities will include in-person and hybrid workshops, scenario-based discussions and simulation exercises targeting IT and security managers, risk and compliance teams and organisations with expanding digital exposure. Participants will be formally registered within the national programme network.

A leadership-focused component, the Cyber Champion Leadership Programme, is also designed for executive and board-level participants and will be delivered through invitation-only workshops and closed sessions.

“In its capacity as an industry association and the government’s strategic partner, ADIGSI ensures the concrete translation of the national cyber resilience agenda within the industrial sector,” Firlie Ganinduto, chairman of ADIGSI, commented.

“The National Cyber Resilience Movement, ADIGSI and ITSEC jointly coordinate the enhancement of cybersecurity posture at both technical and leadership levels, thereby underpinning a resilient and sustainable digital ecosystem in Indonesia.”

Alongside the programme launch, ITSEC Asia has introduced a refreshed corporate identity, including a new logo and the tagline “Cybersecurity Delivered”. The update reflects the company’s emphasis on outcome-driven cyber security delivery, prioritising measurable operational impact across prevention, detection, response and recovery.
