Manila, Philippines – Globe Telecom has completed its joint venture with Singapore-based technology services provider NCS, marking the formal close of an agreement first announced in March 2025 and establishing a broader platform for regional expansion across APAC.
Under the completed transaction, Globe retains a 49% stake while NCS holds 51% ownership in Yondu Inc., following Yondu’s acquisition of NCSI Philippines from NCS’s wholly owned subsidiary, NCSI Holdings. As part of the transaction, Yondu will operate under the name NCS Philippines, consolidating the combined technology services operations in the country.
The completion of the joint venture expands the group’s information and communications technology capabilities by integrating NCS’s regional scale, delivery expertise, and access to partner ecosystems with Globe’s established presence in the Philippine market. The combined entity is positioned to support rising demand for advanced technology services across the region, particularly within the telecommunications sector.
“We are now better equipped than ever to deepen our commitment and deploy world-class ICT solutions for our customers, while simultaneously creating the robust platform necessary to accelerate the expansion of our services and customer base across APAC,” Carl Raymond R Cruz, president and CEO of Globe, shared.
“Globe is confident this partnership forms the foundation for sustainable growth, benefiting local enterprises and opening exciting new doors throughout the region.”
The joint venture is expected to broaden service offerings in areas such as digital transformation, cloud computing, data analytics and artificial intelligence, serving both regional and international clients operating in APAC. The expanded platform is intended to support enterprises seeking end-to-end technology solutions while enabling cross-border project delivery.
From an operational perspective, the transaction increases NCS’s workforce in the Philippines to more than 1,200 professionals, strengthening its delivery capacity and reinforcing the country’s role as a regional technology hub. The expanded talent base is expected to play a central role in supporting AI-led transformation initiatives across multiple markets.
“Closing this joint venture represents a significant step forward in NCS’ APAC growth and our internationalisation focus,” Ng Kuo Pin, CEO of NCS, stated.
“The depth of talent and expertise in the Philippines will be instrumental as we continue to drive AI-led transformation and create greater value for our clients. We are excited about the momentum ahead and the opportunities this unlocks for our clients and our people.”
For Globe, the joint venture represents a strategic financial milestone aimed at improving capital efficiency while supporting long-term revenue sustainability. The partnership provides additional flexibility to invest in next-generation ICT capabilities while maintaining a focus on disciplined growth.
The completion of the transaction also creates new opportunities for Philippine-based technology professionals to participate in regional projects, take on specialised roles and contribute to large-scale digital transformation initiatives across APAC, further integrating the local workforce into the wider regional ecosystem.
