Singapore – Dragos Inc. has appointed Kaori Nieda as its first Country Manager for Japan, marking a further step in the company’s expansion within the market. The move builds on its existing presence in Japan, including its collaboration with Macnica, and reflects a continued focus on supporting industrial and critical infrastructure organisations operating cyber-physical systems.
In her new role, Kaori will oversee efforts to broaden the company’s capabilities in safeguarding operational technology environments across Japan. Her responsibilities include advancing business growth, strengthening engagement with clients, and improving access to cybersecurity expertise aimed at addressing increasingly sophisticated threats targeting industrial systems.
The appointment aligns with ongoing investment by Dragos in regional development and partnerships intended to enhance the resilience and security of Japan’s industrial sectors as connectivity increases.
“I am excited to join Dragos at such a critical moment for the company’s growth,” Kaori commented.
“Industrial and critical infrastructure organisations in Japan face an increasingly complex threat landscape. I look forward to collaborating with customers and partners to strengthen OT cyber resilience throughout Japan.”
Kaori brings more than two decades of experience across areas including threat intelligence, extended detection and response, network security, and SaaS platforms. She has worked extensively in expanding international cybersecurity operations within Japan, with experience spanning enterprise, service provider, and public sector environments. Her background includes building teams, implementing market entry strategies, and maintaining senior stakeholder relationships.
“Japan is a critical and fast‑growing market for Dragos. Industrial and critical infrastructure organisations are at the centre of security and resilience in this region,” Hayley Turner, Vice President for the Asia‑Pacific region at Dragos, shared.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kaori Nieda to lead our next growth phase. Her deep cybersecurity expertise and proven leadership make her an exceptional addition to the Dragos team.”
Prior to joining Dragos, she served as country manager at Amplitude Analytics GK, where she led organisational restructuring, improved business performance, secured new enterprise clients, and refined the company’s commercial strategy in the country. Her experience in establishing and scaling operations in Japan positions her to contribute to Dragos’s continued growth in the region.
The company is expected to maintain its focus on strengthening its regional footprint through innovation and collaboration, with Japan identified as a key market for future development in operational technology cybersecurity.
