Singapore – Cohesity, an AI-powered data security firm, has recently appointed Carol Carpenter as the company’s new chief marketing officer.
As the current CMO, Carpenter boasts more than two decades of expertise in the technology industry and marketing leadership. She is also leading all aspects of the global marketing organisation, driving the company’s continued dominance in the data protection market after successfully merging with Veritas’ enterprise data protection business.
Prior to joining Cohesity, Carpenter most recently served as the chief marketing officer at Unity. Her previous roles further include being the chief marketing officer at VMware and Google’s global vice president of marketing, where she significantly contributed to transforming Google Cloud from its early stages to market leadership.
Additionally, Carpenter held leadership and marketing positions at ElasticBox (acquired by CenturyLink), Trend Micro, Keynote Systems, Apple, and more.
At Cohesity, she will focus on driving increased brand awareness, refining go-to-market strategies, and creating programmes to drive demand generation.
