Singapore – Ant International, a Singapore-based payments infrastructure firm, has recently named Jiang-Ming Yang as its new chief innovation officer, with the appointment to take effect immediately.

In his role as a CIO, Yang will oversee the synergised development of the company’s product and technology teams. He will also take charge of the CIO organisation, driving Ant International’s global innovation and product strategy, particularly on payments, digitalisation, and embedded finance businesses.

Said organisation ensures that products and solutions evolve in response to industry trends and customer expectations.

Yang is a seasoned leader in global payments and e-commerce. In fact, he also served as Ant International’s chief product officer, spearheading fintech and growth tech innovations to enhance customer experience and efficiency across its four core business verticals: Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst, and Bettr.

In the previous years, he has further been at the forefront of developing and launching cutting-edge AI solutions for the industry, including A+ Rewards by Antom, Antom Copilot, Antom EasySafePay, Time-Series Transformer AI Foreign Exchange Model, and Whale Platform.

Speaking about his appointment, Yang said, “Ant International will continue to invest at the frontier of innovation to help businesses, especially SMEs, to achieve sustainable growth in an increasingly complex global environment.”

“Top on our list of priorities will be to push the cost and efficiency boundary for cross-border payment and settlement; to democratise cutting-edge technology solutions for SMEs on payment, trade, and financial services; and to revolutionise user experience with new intelligent technology for cross-border travel,” he added.

Peng Yang, CEO of Ant International, announced in December 2024 a series of organisational and strategic upgrades designed to broaden the company’s AI-driven fintech offerings, fostering inclusive growth and empowering SMEs across its payment and digitalisation ecosystem.
