Malaysia – MY E.G. Services Berhad, a digital services company, has recently announced that it has teamed up with MyDigital ID Solutions to jointly develop a national digital identity ecosystem powered by blockchain.
The MyDigital ID Superapp, designed to combat fraud, will offer a seamless, secure, and scalable platform for commercial service providers to integrate digital identity management effortlessly.
It is also built on the Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure, providing a comprehensive suite of tools including an e-wallet, news broadcasting, and an open innovation software development environment to help businesses and service providers harness the power of MyDigital ID.
Furthermore, MYEG, through its Layer 1 public blockchain network Zetrix, further delivers a robust global ID solution, supporting MyDigital ID, digital IDs for Chinese nationals and businesses, as well as the World ID from the World Network.
Businesses and commercial service providers can then unlock new possibilities with the MyDigital ID Superapp. In particular, this platform enables the integration of digital identity verification into existing mobile apps or allows companies to host their services as miniapps within the ecosystem.
This integration removes the reliance on multiple authentication systems, streamlines onboarding, improves customer satisfaction, cuts costs, and enhances operational efficiency.
More importantly, the MyDigital ID Superapp prioritises data privacy and security, functioning strictly as an enabler without storing or accessing personal data during transactions.
The company further shared that data interactions will be handled directly between users and service providers, ensuring strict compliance with privacy laws and maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
They have also stressed this collaboration ensures a secure and efficient system tailored to the needs of Malaysia’s digital economy, combining strong data protection with business adaptability.
Through its integration of blockchain, AI, and the National Digital ID, the initiative moreover intends to expand interoperability and safeguard users in local and cross-border economic activities, the company announced.
Commenting about the initiative, Fadzli Sha, co-founder at Zetrix, said, “MYEG’s collaboration with MyDigital ID Solutions marks an important step forward in enhancing Malaysia’s digital landscape and meeting the need for interoperable national digital IDs.”
