Singapore – Cohesity has introduced a managed clean room capability within HCLTech’s VaultNXT offering, combining Cohesity’s Clean Room solution and AI-powered data security capabilities with HCLTech’s cyber resilience framework.
The companies said the new capability is designed to provide organisations with an isolated environment for investigating cyber incidents, validating data, and carrying out recovery operations following an attack.
HCLTech VaultNXT uses policy-driven cyber vaulting, immutable recovery copies, governed access, and audit processes to support data recovery and regulatory requirements. The offering addresses frameworks including the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2).
The managed clean room capability adds investigation, containment, validation, and recovery functions to the VaultNXT framework. According to the companies, these processes can be managed through an isolated environment with controlled access and documented workflows.

HCLTech said VaultNXT is a consulting-led framework covering the assessment, development and operation of ransomware recovery infrastructure. The service incorporates automated workflows, recovery capabilities and security controls intended to support business operations following a cyber incident.
The companies said the integration is intended to help customers reduce recovery times while maintaining controls around data access and recovery processes.

The announcement follows growing attention among organisations to recovery processes that extend beyond restoring data after ransomware or other cyber incidents. Clean room environments can provide a separate setting in which compromised systems and data can be assessed before recovery operations are carried out.
