Singapore – Workato has launched a self-service platform in Singapore, giving customers, developers and students across Asia access to tools for building and productionising AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. The company announced the offering on 21 October.
Users can open a free account and begin building immediately, according to Workato. They can then move to a paid plan as their projects grow, with no contract required.
The platform also allows users to build recipes, Agents/Genies and MCP servers directly on the system. Workato says it runs on the same governed, enterprise-grade engine that powers its largest deployments.
In addition, the company says the offering is designed for independent developers, students and small teams, as well as large enterprises. It adds that the platform is intended to help users govern and scale their AI initiatives.
Commenting on the launch, Rishi Mallik, Chief Growth Officer of Workato, pointed to the gap between access to AI and the ability to apply it.
“The next era of AI won’t be defined by who has access to intelligence, but by who can turn it into action. We’re putting the same enterprise-grade power trusted by the world’s largest companies into the hands of every builder. We want everyone to be able to transform how their business operates,” said Mallik.
The Singapore launch follows the platform’s debut in North America earlier in 2026. Workato says its builder community has grown rapidly since then, and it describes the Singapore rollout as an investment in the local builder community.
The move also extends Workato’s existing education and public-sector work in the city-state. In September 2025, the company unveiled the AI Institute Alliance, partnering with Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, the Singapore University of Social Sciences, and the National University of Singapore to equip students and educators with automation and AI skills.
A year later, Workato opened its AI Lab, which reached into the public sector through a partnership with EDB and into inclusive hiring through SG Enable.
Workato showcased the self-serve platform and its wider community initiatives at World of Workato (WOW) 2026 in Singapore.
Workato describes itself as a control and execution platform for enterprise AI. The company says it has run mission-critical processes for more than half of the Fortune 500, including Nasdaq, Cisco, Vodafone, Atlassian, and Lucid Motors.
