Shenzhen, China – Tencent Cloud said its active overseas customer base doubled over the past year, as international demand for its AI products and services grew by triple digits.
The company also outlined updates to its enterprise AI portfolio, including the upcoming general release of its Hy4 and Hy4 Flash models, and expanded capabilities for its WorkBuddy office productivity agent.
“AI is creating new opportunities for businesses, but its real value comes when it can be applied to everyday operations and adopted at scale,” said Dowson Tong, Senior Executive Vice President of Tencent and CEO of the Cloud and Smart Industries Group.
“At Tencent Cloud, we’re bringing together our AI models, tools such as WorkBuddy and cloud infrastructure to help more businesses put AI to work, building on their strengths and unlocking new opportunities for growth,” Tong continued.
Hy4 models and enterprise AI tools
Tencent said the general release of Hy4 is expected soon. The model is designed to improve performance on long-horizon and real-world productivity tasks, increase reasoning efficiency and introduce visual understanding.
The company is also preparing Hy4 Flash, a lower-cost model that will include visual understanding and agent capabilities.
Enterprises can access Tencent’s Hy models and third-party models through Tencent Cloud TokenHub, a platform that provides a single API and tools for managing model access, usage, governance and billing.
Tencent is expanding WorkBuddy for international businesses. The agent connects with messaging applications and enterprise systems, allowing users to complete tasks within tools they already use. Customers can select models for different tasks, while built-in security controls support enterprise deployment.
The company has also made CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, Miora, its Agent Development Platform, MAGIC AI and Agent Runtime available internationally. In China, Tencent introduced Buddy One, a system that allows WorkBuddy to coordinate tasks across Tencent office applications and specialised business agents.
