Rimini Street appoints Joe Locandro as new EVP, CIO

Melbourne, Australia – Rimini Street, an enterprise software support and services company, has recently named Joe Locandro as the new executive vice president and chief information officer of the company.

With this appointment, Locandro will oversee the company’s global IT operations and lead its enterprise systems strategy. His responsibility further extends to driving technological innovation to fuel its growth and enhance client success.

Locandro also boasts over two decades of experience in international leadership across multiple sectors like energy, aviation, utilities, construction, and entertainment.

Most recently, Locandro served as the CIO of construction and infrastructure firm Fletcher Building. He also held senior technology and transformation roles at BP, Cathay Pacific, CLP, Emirates, Energy Australia, and Village Roadshow.

He further noted, “Flexibility is a winning strategy. Rimini Street empowers organisations to evolve at their own pace, and I’m looking forward to strengthening the systems, security and scalability that underpin that promise across our global operations.”

In addition, Locandro’s background includes a bachelor’s degree in economics and commerce from the University of Melbourne, a graduate diploma in marketing from Monash University, and executive studies in strategic technology leadership at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.

He has also contributed to the board of SITA (Société Internationale de Télécommunications Aéronautiques) and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He will be based in Rimini Street’s APAC region and report to Ravin.
