Singapore – Aiming to strengthen its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, global cybersecurity companyNetskope has recently announced the appointment of Josh Kennedy-White as its new CxO advisor for APAC.
In this new role, Josh will extend his support to the Middle East and North African teams, capitalising on his extensive network in these regions.
He will also collaborate with David Fairman, chief information officer and chief security officer for APAC at Netskope, on managing engagement with key customers across the regions. This encompasses understanding of their primary challenges and objectives, as well as offering valuable expertise and insights to aid in their cybersecurity decision-making processes.
As a technology leader, Josh is an experienced tech investor, advisor, and board member with extensive experience in cybersecurity and national security, quantum technology, gaming, and space technology. He further holds 25 years worth of experience in both public and private sector technology and strategy.
Furthermore, he is an active early-stage deep tech investor in a number of innovative tech start-ups and a regular commentator on cyber and technology issues.
Speaking about the appointment, Josh said, “I work with governments and enterprises to help navigate their specific security challenges and boost performance during their digital transformation. Netskope is well known for its innovative cloud security solutions that minimise risk and enhance performance.”
“After several discussions, it became clear that Netskope’s strategy to promote global data protection resonated with my expertise, goals, and values, so I was excited to contribute to their vision,” he added.
David Fairman, chief information officer and chief security officer for APAC at Netskope, also remarked, “Josh brings deep knowledge, insights, and understanding of the cybersecurity ecosystem, from its most technical aspects to highly strategic conversations at the C-suite level. He is a great leader in our field, and I’m glad that both our customers and Netskope are going to benefit from his cyber wisdom.”
Meanwhile, Tony Burnside, VP and head of APAC at Netskope, commented, “The APAC region is extremely diverse, with a wealth of language and cultural nuances that any company hoping to be successful across the region should navigate. And while we have valuable partners across all APAC countries that have been supporting us, it is a relevant time in our growth journey to have our own people on the ground and provide local customers and partners with better direct access to in-house Netskope experts.”
Additionally, Netskope has also announced the recent launch of its operational go-to-market team in the Philippines and its active efforts to build a similar team in Taiwan.
