Tokyo, Japan – JCB, a global payment firm, has recently announced a strategic collaboration with Google Pay to enable access for Android smartphone users to utilise the Google Pay platform.

In this partnership, users can now use Google Pay for transactions in stores where JCB Contactless is accepted. The service can further be used by linking their credit/debit cards issued by the JCB Group in Japan to Google Pay.

When accessing the service, users only need to download the Google Wallet app and add their JCB Card into it. The company intends to expand this support to additional JCB card issuers in Japan and in other global regions.

For this initiative, Google Pay offers strong security features, including authentication, transaction encryption, and fraud prevention, helping safeguard your funds and personal information. JCB Contactless, on the other hand, provides secure, simple and fast payments by using JCB Contactless card or smartphone, with JCB Card being added to a mobile wallet.
