Gupshup appoints Trisnia Anchali Kardia as country head for Indonesia

Indonesia – Conversational AI engagement company Gupshup has announced the appointment of Trisnia Anchali Kardia as its new country head for Indonesia. With a track record in business messaging, e-commerce, and technology sales and adoption, Anchali will focus on expanding Gupshup’s enterprise business in Indonesia and drive market leadership in conversational AI engagement.

Before joining Gupshup, she served as the country head for Indonesia at Graas, an e-commerce analytics company, where she drove revenue growth and expanded the client base manifold.

Anchali brings over a decade of deep expertise in business messaging, having started her career at Telkomsel, Indonesia’s largest telecom operator, leading the sales team to launch its digital advertising business, including location-based advertising.

Her career then took her to Zomato Indonesia, where she headed sales. Following these roles, Anchali moved to Line, one of Indonesia’s leading messaging apps, as their chief commercial officer. At Line, she was responsible for marketing, product initiatives, and business development for the company’s enterprise messaging product, strengthening her reputation as a seasoned expert in the messaging ecosystem.

Speaking on her appointment, she said, “The Indonesian market is at a fascinating intersection of rapid digital growth and evolving consumer behaviours, where conversational engagement and commerce have become central to business success. With Gupshup’s cutting-edge Conversational Cloud, AI Agents and Personalise capabilities and a proven track record of enabling over 45,000 customers, we have an incredible opportunity to help Indonesian businesses scale and transform their customer engagement strategies.”

She added, “I’m thrilled to lead Gupshup’s next phase of growth in Indonesia and work alongside businesses as they harness the full potential of conversational commerce to drive their digital transformation journey.”

Meanwhile, Beerud Sheth, co-founder and CEO at Gupshup, commented, “With Anchali at the helm, we are excited to help more Indonesian businesses leverage conversational messaging to drive growth and innovation. Her extensive experience in business messaging, driving adoption of innovative offerings, and strong connections within Indonesia’s tech ecosystem make her an invaluable asset as we expand our presence in the region.”
