Singapore – Grameenphone, a telecommunications company, has recently announced the expansion of their partnership with Ericsson, with the goal of fostering innovation through AI-driven technologies.
In this partnership, the two will focus on empowering Grameenphone to provide personalised solutions that address the dynamic needs of its customers.
With AI and advanced technologies at the core, the company further aims to speed up innovation, optimize operations, ensure reliable services, and advance its digital transformation journey over the next six years, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Said agreement was also formalised during a ceremony that was participated in by David Hägerbro, head of Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, and Yasir Azman, chief executive officer at Grameenphone.
Notable attendees of this event were also H.E. Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen, Ambassador of Norway to Bangladesh; H.E. Nicolas Weeks, Ambassador of Sweden to Bangladesh; and Major General Md Emdad Ul Bari, OSP, NDC, psc, te (retd), Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
The event was also joined by Andres Vicente, Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of MA Southeast Asia Oceania & India of Ericsson Ltd.; Dr. Niranjan Srinivasan, Chief Information Officer of Grameenphone; Kaustubh Vats, Chief Procurement Officer of Grameenphone, along with senior officials from Grameenphone Ltd. and Ericsson Ltd.

According to the firm, the partnership will enhance Grameenphone’s Business and Operations Support System (OSS/BSS) capabilities. New solutions, including Ericsson Order Care and Catalogue Manager, will further modernise service delivery and prepare the network for 5G.
