Indonesia – CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, the country’s leading technology and telecommunications provider, to jointly pursue AI-powered cybersecurity transformation across Indonesian organisations.

The agreement, announced on 28 August 2026, sets out a collaboration aimed at delivering AI-powered protection and managed security services designed to stop breaches and secure AI systems for Indonesian enterprises.

According to the two companies, the MoU marks the first step in bringing together CrowdStrike’s AI-native Falcon platform and security services with Telkom’s local market experience, its extensive customer base across the public and private sectors, and its technology infrastructure.

As part of the collaboration, CrowdStrike and Telkom intend to strengthen security capabilities, explore joint innovation opportunities, roll out CrowdStrike-powered security offerings, and develop joint go-to-market initiatives.

Telkom has also indicated it plans to standardise its own cyber defences on the Falcon platform as part of the arrangement.

Beyond infrastructure alignment, the collaboration reflects a broader regional shift, as AI increasingly reshapes how organisations across Southeast Asia conduct business and manage risk.

In response, CrowdStrike and Telkom are exploring the development of managed security services specifically geared towards securing enterprise AI adoption.

Central to this effort is driving adoption of Falcon AI Detection and Response (AIDR), a solution built to deliver visibility and runtime enforcement from the endpoint — where AI executes — through to the wider enterprise.

To carry this forward, the two companies intend to establish a joint team focused on co-developing offerings that secure AI agents, models and systems, with the stated goal of enabling organisations to adopt AI at scale with greater confidence.

Commenting on the collaboration, Jonathon Dixon, Vice President and Managing Director, Japan and Asia Pacific at CrowdStrike, said, “AI is transforming how organisations operate and how they run cybersecurity programmes. Telkom shares our commitment to securing Indonesia’s AI future, bringing AI-powered protection and security for AI to the organisations powering the region’s digital transformation.”

On the other hand, Seno Soemadji, Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio at Telkom Indonesia, noted, “Through our collaboration with CrowdStrike we aim to help organisations enhance their cybersecurity with proven security capabilities that address the speed and sophistication of today’s attacks.”

“Importantly, by working closely together with CrowdStrike, the expertise of our security teams and analysts will also be strengthened, enhancing our ability to help our broad customer base detect and respond to attacks. This collaboration will explore long-term cyber resilience, including hardening regional organisations against threats advanced by emerging technologies such as AI and quantum computing”, Soemadji added.

Taken together, the MoU signals a wider trend among Southeast Asian telecommunications providers to pair local infrastructure reach with specialised global cybersecurity technology, as regional organisations contend with increasingly sophisticated, AI-enabled threats.
