Singapore – Convera and Singapore-based human resources cloud platform JustLogin have partnered to integrate cross-border payroll and business payment capabilities into HR workflows, targeting companies managing employees across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
The integration will allow JustLogin customers to initiate payroll and employee-related payments in up to 16 currencies through the platform, while Convera handles the underlying cross-border payment execution. The companies say the service is intended to improve payment visibility, accelerate salary disbursement and reduce administrative complexity for businesses with distributed workforces.
The partnership is designed to support organisations expanding across multiple markets, where payroll management involves different currencies, payment systems, and regulatory requirements.
“Growing companies should not have to choose between regional expansion and payroll confidence. By embedding Convera’s global payments capabilities directly into JustLogin’s HR platform, we’re making it easier for businesses to hire, pay and scale across Southeast Asia with greater speed, visibility and control,” said Patrick Gauthier, Group CEO of Convera.
“This partnership reflects a broader shift we’re seeing in the market, as payments become more deeply embedded into the platforms businesses already use to run their operations,” Gauthier continued.
Payment status and compliance built into workflows
Under the arrangement, payment activity can be initiated within JustLogin, with relevant transaction data securely shared with Convera when a payment is made. Payment statuses and confirmations are then returned to the JustLogin dashboard, giving HR and finance teams access to payment information without leaving their existing workflows.
Convera acts as the licensed payment processor, conducting customer onboarding and know-your-customer (KYC) checks. The company operates under the oversight of more than 60 regulators worldwide, according to the announcement.
The service also uses selected government-backed fast payment rails to support salary disbursements across the region, including Singapore’s FAST, Malaysia’s DuitNow and InstaPay in the Philippines.
“As our customers expand across markets, payroll and payments have become a critical part of both employee experience and corporate reputation,” said KC Kwa, CEO of JustLogin.
“In an environment marked by regulatory change and currency volatility, this partnership provides the governance, resilience, and confidence our customers need to keep payroll compliant, accurate, and seamless – without compromising trust,” Kwa continued.
Regional expansion drives demand for integrated payments
The companies cited estimates that Southeast Asia’s business-to-business payments market was worth approximately US$44.5 billion in 2024 and is projected to exceed US$105 billion by 2033. They said embedding cross-border payments into HR platforms could help businesses address operational challenges in regional expansion.
The integration is available to JustLogin customers in Singapore and across supported Southeast Asian markets. Convera and JustLogin said the service is intended to bring payroll management and cross-border payments together in a more connected experience for businesses operating across the region.
