Singapore – Cisco has unveiled new integrations between Cisco ThousandEyes and Amazon CloudWatch Internet Monitor (CWIM), a recently introduced Internet monitoring service by Amazon Web Services (AWS). This unique integration offers customers visibility into their cloud deployments, empowering them to deliver optimised digital experiences that stand out.

Through this integration, customers gain access to operational insights that facilitate the optimal placement of AWS instances and monitoring coverage based on user traffic profiles. This announcement follows ThousandEyes’ recent introduction of AWS Network Path Enrichment, providing customers with deeper visibility into AWS.

This enrichment involves incorporating data from AWS sources into ThousandEyes Path Visualization, enabling customers to collaboratively address issues affecting application performance with service providers.

Expanding on the established partnership between AWS and Cisco, this new integration underscores Cisco’s steadfast commitment to its end-to-end network assurance vision. Cisco, in its mission to securely and sustainably connect every entity, reaffirms its dedication to ensuring the digital experience across all connections.

Through collaboration with AWS, Cisco aims to fulfil its pledge of offering visibility into every domain influencing digital experiences—be it user, enterprise, Internet, or cloud. This commitment allows Cisco to deliver artificial intelligence (AI)-driven insights, recommendations, and remediations, supporting the digital transformation journey of every customer, regardless of their current stage in the process.

Robert Kennedy, VP of AWS Border Network Engineering at AWS, said, “Since launching one year ago, Amazon CloudWatch Internet Monitor has delivered real-time insights into the traffic and performance of our customers’ AWS VPCs, CloudFront distributions, and Workspaces towards Internet destinations. In-depth Internet visibility is critical to our customers, so we’re excited to combine forces with ThousandEyes to provide a comprehensive view of Internet health.”
