Bangkok, Thailand – Aung Kyaw Moe, the CEO and founder of full-suite payments platform 2C2P, has recently announced that he will be stepping down from his role in April this year after leading the company for 22 years.

In his recently published LinkedIn post, Aung looked back on his journey, revisiting the company’s origins in Thailand, its key milestones, and the many firsts that marked its growth. He also paid tribute to the individuals and institutions that supported the company along the way.

“I will cherish the memories of failures, triumphs, setbacks, and encounters. 2C2P has grown beyond my imagination, serving global, regional, and local merchants. This growth reflects the team’s hard work, the support of our partners, the understanding of regulators, and the trust of our customers,” said Aung.

“I thank everyone for their support on this journey. Above all, I couldn’t do my job without my family’s unconditional support and understanding,” he added.

Following this decision, Aung also revealed his plans to pursue research on Southeast Asia startups, aiming to contribute to society while also expanding his knowledge.

“With 2C2P in good hands, I am thrilled to embark on new adventures. As a DBA candidate at the Sasin School of Management, I will dedicate some of my time to my research: How Southeast Asia Startups Succeed and Fail—Understanding the Growth Gap.”

“I am also working on my memoir, “Red Kite,” recounting my personal and entrepreneurial journey. And I can’t wait to spend more time flying my little plane to new places and meeting new people,” he further shared.

Alongside his departure, he also shared 2C2P Thailand CEO Khun Piyachart’s decision to step down, marking a leadership transition within the company.

Established in April 2003, 2C2P has grown into a premier global payments platform, helping businesses securely process payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels. The company also now operates extensively across Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
