Singapore – Revolut has committed about S$350 million (US$270 million) to Singapore over the next five years, as it prepares to open a new office at Collyer Quay Centre in early 2027.

The fintech company announced the plan on 8 October 2026, saying the investment will span product innovation, business growth and the expansion of its local workforce.

Revolut has signed a five-year lease for roughly 8,880 sq ft on the ninth floor of the building. The office will support a Singapore team that the company aims to grow to more than 300 employees over the next three years.

That target follows a sharp rise in hiring. Revolut said its Singapore headcount increased by more than 95% year-on-year in 2025, and the company is now recruiting across engineering, product, data and AI.

The company linked the investment to its second consecutive year of net profitability in Singapore in 2025. It added that the market will remain a base for its expansion across Southeast Asia, covering products, partnerships and local expertise.

Revolut, which says it serves more than 80 million retail customers and 850,000 business customers worldwide, launched in Singapore in 2019. Seven years on, the company says its product has moved beyond travel spending towards everyday financial management.

On the retail side, Revolut reported that domestic transaction volumes grew by more than 30% year-on-year in 2025, with domestic transactions making up nearly half of total activity. Peer-to-peer payment volumes rose by close to 40%.

Virtual card payments also expanded, with both the number and volume of transactions growing by more than 55%, according to the company. Meanwhile, the number of customers using its Wealth & Trading offering increased by close to 55%.

Revolut has broadened its Singapore product line over the past year. It launched Ultra, introduced enhanced paid plans with partner benefits from brands including foodpanda and OpenAI, and added multi-currency capabilities covering CNY and VND.

The business segment recorded faster gains. Revolut said its Singapore business customer base grew fivefold in 2025.

Between August 2025 and August 2026, deposit balances and transfer volumes each increased threefold, while card payment volumes rose tenfold, the company said. Globally, Revolut Business has surpassed US$1 billion in annualised revenue.

To support those customers, Revolut introduced Flexible Cash Funds and a suite of merchant acquiring solutions in Singapore. The latter brings account-to-account, online and in-person payments into a core business account.

Raymond Ng, Chief Executive Officer, Singapore and Southeast Asia, Revolut, said, “Seven years after launching in Singapore, we’re proud to establish a new home in the heart of the city’s financial district. Our nearly S$350 million (US$ 270 million) commitment reflects how far we’ve come and our confidence in the opportunities ahead.”

“Singapore is a key market and an important base for our Southeast Asia ambitions. We’ll continue investing in our people, products and technology to drive growth, strengthen our capabilities and bring more innovation to customers across the region. As we work towards reaching 100 million customers globally, Singapore will play an increasingly important role in our growth across Asia,” Ng added.

Pee Beng Kong, Executive Vice President, EDB, said, “Revolut’s continued investment to deepen its presence in Singapore reflects the important role Singapore plays in its regional growth. As Revolut nearly doubles its team and builds new product capabilities here, it will strengthen our fintech ecosystem and create valuable opportunities for local talent to develop skills and experience in a fast-growing sector.”

“We look forward to partnering with Revolut as it innovates from Singapore to serve customers across Southeast Asia and beyond,” Kong added.

Nik Mehta, British High Commissioner to Singapore, said, “Revolut’s growth story in Singapore is a brilliant example of British innovation making waves on the global stage. Since its launch, Revolut has grown from a UK start-up into a platform trusted by customers and businesses across Singapore and the wider region, and this new office and nearly S$350 million (US$270 million) investment show real confidence in Singapore’s future.”

“The UK and Singapore have a deep and growing partnership in financial services, and I’m delighted to see a UK-headquartered company playing such an important part in that relationship, creating jobs, driving innovation and strengthening the links between our two financial centres,” Mehta concluded.
