Dublin, Ireland – Devexperts has appointed Rainer Fuchsluger as Global Group Chief Executive Officer, with the financial technology company looking to expand its international presence and broaden its product offering across the investment and trading lifecycle.
Fuchsluger takes on the role with immediate effect, as Devexperts prepares to mark its 25th anniversary in 2027. The company has more than 800 employees across 10 offices and provides technology solutions to hundreds of clients globally.
His remit includes extending Devexperts’ value chain across the investment and trade lifecycle and expanding the use of technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI) across its portfolio. He will also lead efforts to accelerate the company’s international growth strategy.
Fuchsluger brings more than 25 years of experience across financial software, market data, exchange technology and market infrastructure. His previous senior leadership roles include positions at LSEG, Wolters Kluwer, SS&C and Thomson Reuters.
He has also worked across major financial centres including London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan and Switzerland, and served on Wolters Kluwer’s Global Sustainability Governance Board.
The appointment follows the departure of Ben Hurley, who is leaving Devexperts to pursue new opportunities after more than four years with the company, including two years as CEO.
“Devexperts has always been built on exceptional engineering, advanced technology and long-standing, trusted client relationships. I would like to thank Ben for his leadership and commitment over the past four years and welcome Rainer at an important time for the company,” said Michael Babushkin, Founder of Devexperts.
“His deep knowledge of global financial markets, combined with a proven track record of scaling technology businesses across major financial centres, will help us build on our strengths and realise our ambitions for international growth,” Babushkin continued.
“Devexperts has built something very special over nearly 25 years, combining deep capital markets expertise, advanced technology and exceptional people with strong client relationships, including banks, brokerages, exchanges and wealth managers,” said Rainer Fuchsluger, Global Group CEO of Devexperts.
“I’m grateful to Michael and the Board for their confidence in me and excited to build on the company’s achievements,” Fuchsluger continued.
Devexperts said AI is already embedded in more than half of its software development pipeline. The company plans to build on this and other technology capabilities under Fuchsluger’s leadership as it works to accelerate product development.
“Capital markets are evolving rapidly, driven by demand for trusted data and analytics, resilient market infrastructure and the accelerating adoption of cloud computing and AI,” Fuchsluger added.
“My priority is to stay close to our clients, understand their evolving needs and bring our capabilities closer together across the investment and trade lifecycle. By combining our expertise with continued investment in advanced technologies, we can strengthen our offering and help clients navigate increasingly complex markets without compromising on performance or resilience,” Fuchsluger continued.
