Singapore – Bolt has appointed Ivan Kusalić as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), putting him in charge of the company’s global technology strategy and engineering teams.

Kusalić joins from German renewable energy company Enpal, where he most recently served as chief technology and product officer (CTPO). Before that, he held senior positions at HelloFresh and Amadeus.

At Bolt, Kusalić will shape the company’s technological vision and take responsibility for streamlining workflows and processes.

Kusalić commented on his decision to join the company in a statement.

“I’m excited to join Bolt, a fast-growing, world-class company whose impact extends well beyond transport and mobility. Bolt’s products are already part of millions of people’s everyday lives. I’m inspired by the opportunity to build technology that makes those experiences even better and shapes how people move and live,” said Kusalić.

Meanwhile, Bolt CEO and Co-Founder Markus Villig welcomed the appointment, emphasising the importance of driving technological innovation for both the company and its customers.

Villig then outlined what he expects from the new CTO. “Technology is at the heart of all our products and services. Ivan brings a strong technical background, excellent product instincts, and leadership skills,” Villig said

“His prior experience and hands-on approach will help us attract top talent, boost engineering team productivity, and apply AI solutions to deliver an even better experience for our customers. I am thrilled to welcome Ivan to the Bolt team,” Villig added.
